Thank
you to all who came out to help the Chapter with the One Day of Service
at the Blackland Prairie Raptor Center. We had 60+ Scouts out there to
help adding up to over 320 Service Hours. We cleaned the nature trail,
extended the walking trail deeper into one of the last Blackland
Prairies in the world. The Cub Scouts were able to earn their Outdoor
Award, and be inspired to continue on the path of Scouting. The Cub
Scouts did activities like kickball and knot tying. We also had several
raptors displayed for the Cubs to see, ask questions about, and learn
about the effects of humans on wildlife. Overall it was a very fun and
informative day. |
